Patina Patina PatinaMiller was the lead Player as the Leading Player in Miller's role as the Leading Player in Broadway stage revival of Stephen's famed production of the year 1972's musical "Pippin". Produced by Tony Award-winning Director Diane Paulus, and also featuring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th Annual Tony Awards. Patina gave her unique contemporary version of the award-winning Ben Vereen's role and was able to master the Fosse movements that were so vital to the production. Patina's performance won her a Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was also presented to her for Outstanding Actress. In December 2012 through the beginning of January 2013 she performed as the lead role in American Repertory Theatre's production of Pippin. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
